Peacehaven & District Residents Association Constitution Summary 2018

NAME  Shall be known as THE PEACEHAVEN & DISTRICT RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION

MEMBERSHIP  Membership of the Association shall be open to all permitted residents of Peacehaven & District who are qualified for inclusion on the electoral roll

AIM  A)  To provide a forum for open meetings in topics of general interest

B)  To act as a watchdog on proposals for changes in the Town

C)  To monitor planning applications and proposals from statutory bodies and respond in accordance with the aim.

D)  To advance suggestions for the improvements to local amenities and endeavour to see they are carried out.

E)  To develop and maintain contact with Peacehaven Town Council and other bodies directly and through elected members, in matters relating to the exercises of their respective statutory functions.

F)  To liaise with organisations locally with similar interests.

G)  To conduct its affairs on strictly no-party political, non-sectarian basis.
